Choice FM is Ireland's easy listening radio station, broadcasting since 2005 under a series of temporary licences issued by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland. Late last year, we completed our most-recent temporary broadcasting licence, which finished at midnight on Sunday November 12th. Thank you for all of your support and friendship to date. We do hope to return in the future and will posts updates on our efforts to acheive a permanent broadcasting licence on our website.
UPDATE- January 28th 2007: The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland have announced that they have awarded us with a licence to broadcast to Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Clare.

UPDATE - October 10th 2007: Our web stream is back online and can be accessed from www.choicefm.ie.
UPDATE - October 10th 2007: The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland has announced a short-list of two applications for the multi-city licence for which we have applied. We are delighted to be included on this short-list; we have now been asked to present to the Commission in a public oral hearing on December 17th. More details are available by clicking here.
UPDATE - September 28th 2007: Our web stream is temporarily down to facilitate the streaming of a new temporary station in which we are involved - 949 The Rock. We intend to recommence streaming of Choice FM by mid-October. More details about 949 The Rock can be found at www.therock.ie.
UPDATE - July 8th 2007: Our webstream is back online at www.choicefm.ie.
UPDATE: July 5th 2007: The BCI has made the five applications for the multicity 'over 45's' licence available on their website. All applications are available to download by clicking here
UPDATE - June 22nd 2007: Today, Choice Broadcasting Ltd submitted an application to the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland for a permanent, 'multi-city and county' FM radio licence, to cover Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Clare. The BCI announced their intention to award such a licence in November 2006. Four other groups also applied for the licence, which was announced shortly after Choice FM finished its most-recent temporary licence in November 2006.
